Welcome to the
Drurylane Dolls
Studio

Roberta and Peter Drury, who enjoyed
making beautiful Porcelain Dolls in all stages, founded our business.
We were fortunate enough to have Cherie Rigole to work with us as
an expert in costume design. Unfortunately cancer took Roberta away
from us in 2003, but Cherie who had developed a love of porcelain
dolls stayed on with me and has made some really beautiful dolls,
and doll clothing. Together we won awards at the International Doll
Festival at Henley on Thames in England in 2004. In 2006 we decided
to make it a real partnership and married at St. Peters Anglican
Church, Dorchester. So once again Drurylane Dolls invites you to
come visit our exciting doll-making studio and see the safer, dust
free soft-fired greenware and dimensional china painting methods
as developed by the artist Ron Booker. Learn how to do Heirloom
sewing with Cherie and how you can enjoy making these beautiful
porcelain dolls using our methods. We hope that we can bring you
a wealth of knowledge in the Doll making arts. Educated by leading
artisans in Canada and the U.S.A., we continue to upgrade our skills
to ensure you have access to the latest and safest techniques and
products. We are Members of the Doll Artisan Guild..
